The historic castle in the German town of Erftstadt-Liblar is a private acute clinic for psychodynamic psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatics. Located near the city of Cologne, this exclusive private clinic houses some 80 patient rooms and is characterised by the concept of presence therapy, with the aim of creating an all-round favourable atmosphere for its patients. The harmonious interplay of the medical concept and carefully selected materials for the interior provides a subtle feeling of security and comfort. With her interior architectural practice 100% interior, interior architect Sylvia Leydecker specialises in the sector of healthcare and was thus able to secure awards for this project: "Best of Competition" at the IIDA Award Healthcare in the USA; winner IIDA Healthcare and Outstanding Property Award London. OBJECT CARPET RUGX offer ideal zoning possibilities for closeness in the spacious rooms in the form of seating islands. Materials such as velvet, leather and the sustainable OBJECT CARPET qualities allow the patient to experience the moment of connection in a sensual way, providing an ideal sense of well-being and thereby contributing to the patient's recovery. Nature-inspired colours were principally used for the design of the interior, for which OBJECT CARPET was able to offer a rich selection from its generous colour diversity.
