At the end of August 2017, BAHLSEN’s Austrian branch moved into its new office in the Europlaza Business Park in Vienna. This property meets the requirement to provide an ideal space for the implementation of an open space concept. 20 people now share a common space, which has been supplemented with additional functions for meetings, retreats and communication places, as well as areas for presentation of the products, the biscuits. The selection of the carpet played a decisive role. On the one hand, the flooring should not be that of a typical office carpet, on the other hand, colours from the Corporate Design Manual should also be reflected. The concept included certain colour mappings for meeting areas, workstation zoning, and transitions from different spatial areas used in different colours and products. Due to the large variety of colours of the OBJECT CARPET ollection, a small meeting area based on the Leibniz biscuit could be designed. A yellow carpet, which not only finds itself on the floor but also as a wall-to-wall extension and immediately provides good room acoustics.
